I really enjoyed this book. It's hard to put down once you start reading. It is suspenseful as well as intriguing, your imagination will take off. Growing up here in Midvale was fun to read about. This story captured the past so vividly as it takes you through time until now. The author captures essence of good vs. evil, and the strength of life long friendships. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Such great book, loved every minute of it.

Summer is quickly ending, so now is an excellent time to pick your fall books. If you are a thriller/horror fan, I recommend the “Liminal” by Michael Padjen. In the tradition of thriller/supernatural greats like Steven King and Dean Koontz, the “Liminal” stands firmly among them. The story is very well done, thoughtful yet eerie, with supernatural elements horrifying the most ardent fan. The story reunites four friends and forces them to confront the horrific events that occurred fifty years earlier. However, the horror is happening again, this time with the granddaughter of one of the friends.

This book was a fun read. I would set aside 1/2 hour of reading time and then find myself running 1 hour plus to find out what was coming and developing next. I enjoyed the referencing of the character cast's youthful upbringing with the times, places, music and personal heritages. There is a lot of symbolism and parallels that run through this fiction/fantasy that give for good thought and reflection for both the young and old. This book has good action and an interesting concept of the subconscious, matter and time. I look forward to seeing where Padjen takes us next in "The Liminal"!

Excellent book that reads well. Pulls you into the story as you can relate to the characters. A supernatural ride that was hard to put down. Gripping mix of normality, fear, commitment, relationships and trust all with a backdrop of the unexplainable. Makes you wonder as you lay down at night is there a place like the Liminal with multiple dimensions and where time doesn’t exist? Maybe not just in your dreams….
